Description

We are currently looking for a teacher for mathematics and Swedish as a Second Language (SV/A) in grade 5 at Gårdstensskolan. The position is a temporary assignment (substitute) for the academic year 2026/2027.

Gårdstensskolan moved into new premises in the autumn semester of 2019. Special initiatives have been made to digitize the school. Classrooms, offices, and other common areas are characterized by new technology and modern furniture. Responsibilities

The school's focus area is language- and knowledge-developing teaching methods in all subjects. There is a lead teacher in each grade who leads the work to ensure this teaching method permeates the operations. The school's student health team is part of the school's work group to support work with student health-oriented issues, such as attendance and students' need for support. At Gårdstensskolan, we strive to build an organization where all functions in the operations work together to increase our students' goal achievement.

Your responsibilities include planning, conducting, and following up on your teaching. You will also be part of a work group with teachers who have other subject competencies. Together with your subject and work group, you will work jointly to strengthen the students' learning processes and create a good learning environment. You are also expected to work on the school's development work together with colleagues and be open to ideas and suggestions.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you must be a certified teacher with the qualification to teach mathematics, Swedish as a Second Language (SV/A), or another theoretical subject for grade 5. You are well acquainted with the school's steering documents and work clearly with the knowledge goals. Since communication and documentation are part of the daily work, good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

As a teacher, you have the ability to create good relationships and act as a role model for the students. You are engaged, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude. Your teaching is characterized by a love for learning, where students are given room for participation and engagement.
